Pressure–Temperature Ratings by Seat Material
Compare allowable pressure across temperature for our three seat options—TFM 1600, PTFE + 20% PEEK, and PEEK. Open the chart for your seat family, set your operating temperature (and DN if shown), and read the maximum allowable pressure. Always verify the valve body rating as the final limit and include a suitable safety margin.

TFM 1600 (PS4/PN4)
This chart shows the pressure–temperature envelope for TFM 1600 (modified PTFE) seats. It covers −50 °C to +190 °C, making it the right choice when your application includes cold starts or sub-zero cleaning cycles while keeping broad chemical compatibility. Seat materials are FDA-approved; valves conform to TA-Luft, PED 97/23/CE and AD2000 (ATEX on request).
How the Chart Works:
Select your DN and temperature; follow the highlighted DN line until it meets the TFM 1600 material limit (valid −50 °C to +190 °C), then read the max allowable pressure—your BAR/PSI result is shown in the live panel.Configuration

TFM 1600 (PS4/PN4)
This interactive chart visualizes the maximum allowable pressure versus temperature for valves fitted with PTFE + 20% PEEK seats. The red dashed lines are the DN-specific mechanical limits, the green line is the seat material limit at higher temperatures, and the yellow dot marks your operating point. The results card converts the governing limit into BAR and PSI, so you can quickly check whether your duty sits inside the safe envelope.
How the Chart Works:
- Select your DN and set the operating temperature with the slider.
- The chart highlights your DN line and plots the operating point; the max allowable pressure shown is the lower of the DN limit and the material limit at that temperature.
- If your required pressure is ≤ the displayed value, you’re within the seat’s P/T envelope. If not, lower the temperature, choose a smaller DN (if appropriate), or switch to a higher-temperature seat (e.g., PEEK). Always confirm that the valve body rating also exceeds your operating point.

TFM 1600 (PS4/PN4)
This interactive chart plots the maximum allowable pressure against temperature for valves fitted with PEEK seats. The red dashed lines are DN-specific mechanical limits (DN 10–20 up to DN 150). The purple line is the PEEK material limit—it starts to govern at higher temperatures (≈177 °C → 280 °C) where allowable pressure tapers to zero at 280 °C. The yellow dot marks your operating point, and the results card converts the controlling value into BAR and PSI.
How the Chart Works:
- Select your DN and set the operating temperature (slider −50 °C to +280 °C).
- The chart highlights your DN curve and plots the operating point; the max allowable pressure is the lower of (a) the highlighted DN limit and (b) the PEEK material limit (purple) at that temperature.
- If your required pressure is ≤ the displayed value, you’re inside the P/T envelope. If it’s higher, lower the temperature, consider a smaller DN (if hydraulically acceptable) to gain rating, or review an alternative seat/body configuration. Always confirm the valve body rating also exceeds your operating point.
